Private Amos Miller

Miller was born in April of 1843. His exact date of birth was not available. He was residing in Farmington (Fulton County), Illinois when he enlisted in the regiment on December 17, 1863. Miller was mustered on January 31, 1864 and served 1 year and 8 months. He was discharged on September 30, 1865 at Memphis, Tennessee.

Miller joined the regiment in the early part of 1864. The unit was assigned to duties in several southern states during the balance of his enlistment.

He died on April 22, 1930 at the age of probably 87 years. He is buried in the Ulysses Cemetery in Ulysses (Butler County), Nebraska. Miller was a member of the Lincoln Post (#10) of the Grand Army of the Republic in David City, Nebraska.
