Noyes was born in Baltimore (Baltimore County), Maryland on February 10, 1847. He enlisted and mustered in the regiment on August 15, 1864. Noyes served less than 1 year. He was discharged on June 29, 1965 at Vicksburg, Mississippi. Noyes enlisted as a private and was promoted to bugler during his tour of duty.
During his enlistment, the regiment fought at the capture of Spanish Fort (AL) (April 5, 1865) and Fort Blakely (AL) (April 8, 1865).
Noyes died on October 2, 1933 at the age of 86 years. He is buried in the St John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Falls City (Richardson County), Nebraska.
