Private Lewis W Raber

Company D, 194th Pennsylvania Infantry (100 days, 1864)

Raber was born in Abbottstown (Adams County), Pennsylvania on March 20, 1847. The 17 year old enlisted and mustered in the regiment on July 18, 1864. Raber served until November 6, 1864. He was discharged at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

The 194th Pennsylvania Infantry was organized at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania for 100 days on July 22, 1864. The unit was stationed at Baltimore, Maryland and performed provost duties.

Raber died on September 7, 1933 at the age of 86 years. He is buried in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Omaha (Douglas County), Nebraska.
