Corporal John A Randolph

Company F, 4th Missouri State Militia Cavalry

Randolph was born in August of 1840. He enlisted and mustered in the regiment at St Joseph, Missouri on March 7, 1862. Randolph was promoted to corporal on June 1, 1863. He served over 3 years and was discharged on April 9, 1865.

The 4th Missouri State Militia Cavalry was organized at St Joseph, Missouri from January 28 to May 14, 1862. During Randolph’s enlistment the unit spent most the War in Missouri. They fought at the Battle of Westport on October 23, 1864.

Randolph died on September 29, 1932 at the age of 92 years. He is buried in the Rulo Cemetery in Rulo (Richardson County), Nebraska.
