Sergeant Thomas M Triplett

Company B, 99th Illinois Infantry

Triplett (also spelled Triplet) was born in Adams County, Illinois on November 1, 1841. He was residing in Perry (Pike County), Illinois when he enlisted as a sergeant on August 9, 1862. Triplett was mustered on August 23, 1862 and served a little less than 1 year. He was discharged on August 8, 1863. Triplett enlisted for 3 years. Illinois records do not indicate the reason for his early discharge.

He died on September 30, 1931 at the age of 89 years. Triplett is buried in the Wyuka Cemetery in Lincoln (Lancaster County), Nebraska. He was a member of the Farragut Post (#25) of the Grand Army of the Republic in Lincoln.
