Nebraska boys victorious

Sioux City, IA., Oct. 12 — In the foot ball game played here this afternoon between the local athletic club team, in charge of Prince Sawyer, ex-captain of the Iowa team, and the University of Nebraska team, the latter had an easy victory, although it had to work for every inch that it made. The Sioux City team could not withstand the team work and fine interference of the "Bug Eaters," and Shedd, Thomas and Jones carried the ball from their position in the line for gain after gain. Thomas played in Whipple's place, he umpiring: Wiggon in Knip's place and Packard held down Shues' end in true style. Indeed it was quite a sight to see Thorp and Packard take care of the right end on defense Thorpe would break the interference and Packard would get the man with the ball every time. The final score was 38 to 0 in favor of Nebraska.
