According to Husker Online, 2014 wide receiver commit Robert Lockhart won't be signing with Nebraska on Signing Day. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound receivers from Hinds (Miss.) Community College has "some issues" to work out according to his college wide receivers coach Dwike Wilson.
Lockhart, a gifted speedster who could help Nebraska immediately, may still be a Husker if he gets on track in school. Nebraska could find him worth waiting until summer to finalize.
"My visit to Nebraska for the Northwestern game went great and I was real high on the Huskers out of high school," Lockhart told 247Sports after committing to Nebraska.
Formerly a member of the Miami Hurricanes' 2012 class, Lockhart transferred after an ACL injury his freshman year.
Before his season at Miami, Lockhart attended West Boca Raton High School prior to a one-year stint at Fork Union (Va.) Military Academy.
NU assistant Rich Fisher was the lead recruiter for Lockhart, who held offers from Ole Miss and Florida International.
It's a bit dated, but check out his 2010 highlights video below for a closer look at Lockhart:
