Flood: View from the top

The Omaha World-Herald used Gigapan technology to create a 2.823-gigapixel image of the Missouri River flooding near Omaha on Wednesday, June 29. The image is looking east from the 42nd floor of the First National Bank building in downtown Omaha. Because this large panoramic image is created by stitching together 275 high-resolution photos taken over a period of 15 minutes, there may be a few blurred sections where there was movement during the image capture process or where pictures were stitched together. Double click to zoom, or use the zoom navigation bar at left.
