Mock draft projects former Creighton standout Justin Patton to be picked in the top ten of the NBA draft

With the NBA draft order decided after the lottery on Tuesday night, mock drafts are starting to heat up. Creighton's Justin Patton is a popular name to keep an eye on for Jays fans.

Patton was projected to be picked by the Sacramento Kings with the No. 10 pick of the draft by Sports Illustrated.

SI called Patton a project but praised his skills, writing: "His fluidity, touch, shooting potential, passing and shot-blocking are all off the charts for a guy his size. He’ll have to improve as a rebounder and embrace the rigors of the NBA regimen to maximize his talent, and though his growth curve is long, the potential reward here is tantalizing."

At the combine, Patton said he sat down with four teams that will have a top-14 pick in the June 22 draft — Orlando, Denver, Dallas and Minnesota.

The former Jays star was in attendance for the NBA lottery before heading to Las Vegas for training.
