Tre Bryant got Nebraska most of the way, and Mikale Wilbon finished it off.
Mike Riley didn't name a starting running back entering the season opener. Bryant got the first carry, but he didn't have the first touchdown.
After an Arkansas State punt early in the second quarter, Bryant racked up 40 yards on three carries to get NU down to the Red Wolves 15. Wilbon took over from there, and scored on his second attempt, a seven-yard score.
It was Wilbon's first career touchdown and put the Huskers ahead 24-14.
