The Toronto Argonauts earned a Grey Cup championship In a back-and-forth thriller Sunday, defeating the Calgary Stampeders 27-24.
Former Husker Josh Mitchell will receive a championship ring, albeit he suffered a season-ending injury in the first game of the year.
In 10 games for Toronto last season, Mitchell had 32 tackles and two deflections.
While with the Huskers, he finished his career with 104 tackles, including eight for loss and three sacks, along with three interceptions and 25 deflections.
The Huskers could claim a champion despite the game's result. Former NU standout Ciante Evans plays for Calgary.
