Former Husker, Super Bowl winner asks players pondering transfer to reconsider

Scott Shanle addressed players considering transferring from Nebraska on Sunday.

Shanle, originally a walk-on at Nebraska and eventually a three-year starter, shared his experience with a fired coach. While with the Saints, his defensive coordinator and position coach were fired, but New Orleans went on to win the 2010 Super Bowl.

In that championship season, Shanle recorded 92 tackles, two fumble recoveries and two interceptions. The Saints defeated the Indianapolis Colts 31-17.
