Mike Riley halts interview to protect ESPN's Holly Rowe from incoming football

Mike Riley was a defensive back at Alabama, so he knows a thing or two about knocking balls away.

He channeled that experience in the middle of his halftime interview Saturday with ESPN sideline reporter Holly Rowe. In the middle of an answer about Tommy Armstrong's own problems with batted balls, Riley stops as he sees a football heading their way.

Riley reaches up and knocks the ball away before it could do any damage, gets thanks from Rowe and continues with the interview.
