Tommy Armstrong runs into the end zone, gets carried off the field

Tommy Armstrong put Nebraska into the lead with a fourth-quarter touchdown run, but it came with pain.

Armstrong had missed some snaps earlier in the game after injuring his left leg. The trainers taped up his ankle, and he eventually returned.

Armstrong then ran in a 13-yard touchdown to give Nebraska a 24-17 lead midway though the fourth quarter. But the Husker quarterback reached for his left hamstring after scoring, and he needed his offensive linemen to carry him to the sideline.

Cameras showed Armstrong limping in pain in the bench area as the NU defense was on the field, and he didn't come out on the next offensive possession.
