Terrell Newby puts Nebraska ahead on first offensive drive

Nebraska didn't waste much time taking a 7-0 lead on Maryland Saturday.

Even without starting quarterback Tommy Armstrong, the Huskers marched down the field on their opening possession. Terrell Newby's eight-yard touchdown run and the ensuing extra point by Spencer Lindsay put NU ahead 7-0.

Backup QB Ryker Fyfe completed 2 of 3 passes for 36 yards on the drive, including a third-down conversion to Jordan Westerkamp.
