Video: Buzzer beater by Waverly's Merrick Deger caps wild final seconds in Waverly-Blair game

Merrick Deger's dagger as the buzzer sounded crowned a crazy final 4.5 seconds and gave Waverly a 53-50 win over Blair.

With the game tied at 50, the teams combined for two half-court shots that were waved off before Deger's 3-pointer.

Blair's Quincy Nichols kicked things off by banking in a half-court shot, while being fouled. The officials waved the shot off, however, saying the foul was before the shot.

Blair tried to inbound the ball again, but Waverly's Jay Adams stole the ball and made a half-court shot. Game over, right?

Wrong. Vikings coach Ryan Reeder called a timeout before the shot.
