Despite holding out hope he might be available, Tommy Armstrong won't play Friday in the Music City Bowl.
Mike Riley said earlier in the week Armstrong would be an emergency third option at best while still dealing with a hamstring injury. But Armstrong was spotted in the sidelines pregame in sweatpants and his Husker jersey, but no pads.
That will officially mean the end of Armstrong's record-breaking Husker career has come.
