Creighton coach Greg McDermott is among 16 coaches remaining in the seventh annual Coaches' Charity Challenge.
The challenge is a four-round online tournament in which coaches represent charities and fans vote for the winner.
McDermott is representing Abide, a nonprofit charity that serves Omaha's inner-city neighborhoods. By advancing, McDermott has guaranteed $10,000 for Abide. That amount increases every time McDermott moves on, with the grand prize being $100,000.
Among the 16 coaches still in the running are former Creighton coach (and current Oregon coach) Dana Altman, Iowa's Fran McCaffery and Iowa State's Steve Prohm.
Fans can vote here. The third round runs from Feb. 13-Feb. 26. At that time, the field will be cut down to four.
