Columbus manager Kyle Anderson, who is battling cancer, hits gym's final shot by a Discoverer

Someone had to hit the last shot for the Discoverers in their gymnasium. It couldn't have been anyone better.

Kyle Anderson, the team manager for Columbus, caught a pass about 12 feet from the hoop, took a dribble into the paint and drained a layup for the Discoverers. Anderson has been in a long battle with cancer, but hasn't let that slow him down.

Columbus will be moving to a new building for next school year, which made Anderson's shot the final bucket by a Discoverer in the 59-year-old gym's history. The gym will host a subdistrict tournament next week, meaning another team will claim the overall final shot.
