If every coach left tomorrow, where would it be easiest to win?
That's the question Chicago Tribune columnist Teddy Greenstein posed to Big Ten coaches and media members to determine the best and worst jobs in the conference. Nebraska did not fare well.
The Huskers came in at No. 13 in Greenstein's rankings, ahead of only Penn State.
"Nebrasketball is fun to say, but it wasn’t muttered much this season as the Cornhuskers went 12-19," Greenstein wrote. "They’ve made seven NCAA tournaments and managed to win zero games, a sum even Northwestern has passed. Pinnacle Bank Arena is a beaut that manages to draw a crowd during football season, but there’s almost no recruiting radius to speak of."
Indiana holds the top spot, with Maryland, Wisconsin, Michigan and Michigan State rounding out the top five. Joining Nebraska near the bottom are No. 10 Northwestern, No. 11 Minnesota and No. 12 Rutgers.
