The basic contract for a large district's executive has traditionally included base salary, vacation, vehicle or vehicle allowance, life and health insurance.
Over the past five years, however, more large districts have started including various add-ons: tax-sheltered annuities. Retention bonuses. Performance bonuses. Longevity pay. A cashout option for unused vacation.
