Bullock was born in New York on January 8, 1839. He was living in Marshall County, Iowa when he enlisted in the regiment on July 30, 1861. Bullock was mustered on August 31, 1861 and went to serve about 14 months. He was discharged on October 23, 1861 due to disability.
He died on August 3, 1938 at the age of 99 years. He is buried in the Greenwood Cemetery in York (York County), Nebraska. He was a member of the Anderson Post (#32) of the Grand Army of the Republic in York.
