Booram was born in New York on April 12, 1844. He enlisted in the regiment on May 2, 1864. Booram was mustered on May 13, 1864 and went on to serve about 4 months. He was discharged on September 22, 1864.
The 130th Ohio Infantry was organized and mustered at Sandusky, Ohio on May 13, 1864. The unit was sent to the Washington DC area and performed guard duty. The regiment was mustered out on September 22, 1864.
Booram died on February 24, 1930 at the age of 86 years. He is buried in the Seward Cemetery in Seward (Seward County), Nebraska. Booram was a member of the Seward Post (#3) of the Grand Army of the Republic in Seward.
