Corporal Huston E Crum
Company D, 205th Pennsylvania Infantry
Crum was born on August 21, 1844. He was residing in Huntington County, Pennsylvania when he enlisted and was mustered in the regiment on September 1, 1864. Crum was promoted to corporal on April 4, 1865. He served about 9 months before being discharged on June 2, 1865 at Alexandria, Virginia.
The 205th Pennsylvania Infantry was organized and mustered at Harrisburg on September 2, 1864. The unit was assigned to siege operations against Petersburg and Richmond, Virginia from September 1864 to April 1865. On April 2, 1865 the regiment suffered 18 killed and 97 wounded during the Petersburg Siege. The unit participated in the Grand Review of the Troops on May 23, 1865 at Washington DC.
Crum died on January 22, 1937 at the age of 92 years. He is buried in the Wyuka Cemetery in Lincoln (Lancaster County), Nebraska.
