Company M, 10th Indiana Cavalry
Milburn (also spelled Milbern) was born in Ohio on September 24, 1845. He was residing in Dubois County, Indiana when he enlisted and mustered in the regiment on March 8, 1864. Milburn served about 17 months. He was discharged on August 31, 1865 at Vicksburg, Mississippi.
The 10th Indiana Cavalry was organized in several Indiana cities between December 30, 1863 and April 30, 1864. The regiment fought at the Battle of Nashville (TN) (December 15-16, 1864) and was assigned to the Siege of Spanish Fort and Fort Blakely (AL) (March 26-April 9, 1865).
Milburn died on April 26, 1935 at the age of 89 years. He is buried in the Pawnee City Cemetery in Pawnee City (Pawnee County), Nebraska.
