Dorian was born in New York on February 6, 1844. He enlisted in the regiment on January 28, 1864 at Rochester, New York. Morian was mustered on February 23, 1864. He served about 17 months and was discharged August 1, 1865 at Buffalo, New York.
The 22nd New York Cavalry was organized at Rochester, New York. Company M was mustered on February 23, 1864. During Morian’s enlistment, the regiment was involved in several major campaigns and battles. Some of them include:

Morian died May 17, 1932 at the age of 88 years. He is buried in the Schuyler Cemetery in Schuyler (Colfax County), Nebraska.
