Private Henry W Wolf

Wolf was born in 1841. He was living in Northunmberland County, Pennsylvania when he enlisted and was mustered on September 2, 1861. The 21 year old carpenter enlisted for 3 years. He was mustered out on on September 18, 1864.
The 47th Pennsylvania Infantry was organized at Harrisburg in August and September 1861. During Wolf’s enlistment, the unit was assigned to duty in several southern states.
Wolf died on March 21, 1937 at the age of 95 years. He is buried in the Stella Cemetery in Stella (Richardson County), Nebraska. He was the last member of the McKinley Post (#351) of the Grand Army of the Republic in Stella.
