Private Patrick Brown
Company K, 52nd Pennsylvania Infantry
Brown was born in Ireland in 1846. The 18 year old laborer enlisted and was mustered in the regiment on March 28, 1864. He served about 15 months and was mustered out on July 12, 1865 at Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. During his enlistment, the regiment was assigned to duties in the Carolinas.
Brown died on January 17, 1931 at the age of 86 years. He is buried in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Greeley (Greeley County), Nebraska. He was one of the last members of the Meagher Post (#267) of the Grand Army of the Republic in Greeley.
