OPS superintendent contract - Mark Evans

The next superintendent of the Omaha Public Schools will be paid a base salary of $265,000 annually in a three-year contract approved Jan 23, 2013 by the school board. Mark Evans, who will start July 1, also will receive a $12,000 annual transportation allowance and up to $15,000 in moving expenses. Evans will receive an annuity, funded by the school district at a rate of 14 percent of his annual pay. He also could make $3,750 by consulting with OPS officials before he officially takes over.
