Lost on the Gridiron

Grinnell, Ia, Nov. 22 — The game between the Grinnell and Nebraska university teams was played on the athletic field of the college this afternoon. The game was easily won by the Grinnell boys with a score of 24 to 0, owing to the team ... crippled condition of the State university team this being the third severe game in six days.

The play was very even in the first half, only one touchdown being made, but the hard work and the extreme cold soon told in the second half on the Nebraska boys. Ninety-four rules were used and the Nebraska team was unaccustomed to oppose the mass plays allowed under these rules. The effect of the Kansas and Doane games were easily visible on the Nebraska players, three of whom had to retire.
