Lincoln, Neb., Nov. 12 — The Butte foot ball team added the scalp of the Nebraska University eleven to the others dangling at its belt. A good sized crowd turned out this afternoon to see the university boys go up against the men from the mountains. It was a one-sided affair, the Butte men being able to make their superior weight tell against all the tactics of the university boys. The score of 20 to 6 tell its own story.
At one time during the progress of the game there was an incipient riot, which required the aid of the police to keep within bounds. One of the university men charge a Butte player with tripping him and turned on the latter with his fists. Several blows were struck and a large number of the spectators broke over the bounds and rushed to take part in what looked as though it would develop into a free fight. All was quieted down and the game proceeded with more or less interruption to the end.
Nebraska is 0-2 all-time against Butte.
