Galesburg Fails to Score

Sensational trick playing and long runs enabled the Cornhuskers to win from Knox college by a sore of 34 to 0. When it came to straight football scrimmaging, however, the plucky little men from Galesburg shoved their adversaries around the field in rude fashion, and once endangered Nebraska's goal.

Bender made the first touchdown, the ball being advanced by end runs and line charges. Benedict missed goal. Benedict made a fifty-yard run and more short gains sent the ball over for the second touchdown, with Bender in the lead Nebraska got an easy goal. The next score was made possible by Benedict, who got the ball on a double play and ran forty yards to a touchdown. The pigskin missed the goal. Nebraska took the ball to the Knox ten-yard line, lost with on downs. The first half ended with a score of 16 to 0.

Bender scored another touchdown in the second half. Benedict did the trick play again and made sixty-five-yard run for a touchdown. Another fifty-yard run gave Nebraska the last touchdown and a score of 34 to 0. Nebraska was penalized four times and lost twenty yards.
