Lincoln, Neb., Sept. 24 — By a score of 72 to nothing, Grand Island was defeated by the State University first and second elevens on the campus tonight. The scrubs first tackled the visitors and the score at the end of the first half was 12 to 0. Then the first eleven proceeded to roll up a score of 60. Bender distinguished himself by a number of spectacular dashes and Mills was a firm support at center. Slowness in signal work hindered the players at times but the Cornhuskers showed more weight than at any time during the last few years and the united rooters were highly pleased with the game.
Nebraska is 3-0 all-time against Grand Island.
