Jake Ferguson received an offer from the Huskers on Oct. 31, 2015.
Ferguson's grandfather is Wisconsin athletic director and former Husker linebacker Barry Alvarez.
Some of the recruiting services rank Ferguson as an athlete, capable of playing either tight end or linebacker. With Danny Langsdorf and Tavita Thompson leading his recruitment to Nebraska, the Huskers are interested in him as a tight end.
Ferguson committed to Wisconsin on March 31, 2016.
Despite making that commitment, though, it appears Ferguson still has interest in the Huskers. He attended their spring game on April 16.
He posted a SPARQ score of 114.09 at The Opening Regional in Chicago in May. That was third-best among nearly 350 participants at the event. The score included a 4.73-second 40-yard dash, 4.15-second 20-yard shuttle, 40.5-foot kneeling powerball toss and 33.4-inch vertical jump.
These are the players who built Nebraska football.
