Jaquan Henderson received an offer from the Huskers on Feb. 12, 2016.
He had been committed to UCLA since September 2015, but he dropped that pledge on March 2, 2016.
On May 13, Nebraska showed just how serious its interest in Henderson is. Recruiting staff member Todd McShane tweeted a picture of a stack of letters likely heading for Henderson. In the tweet, McShane recounts a conversation he had with linebackers coach Trent Bray, in which the Husker assistant refers to Henderson as "special" after watching him in-person.
But Henderson committed to Tennessee on June 18.
Henderson still has interest in the Huskers, though. He took an official visit to Lincoln for the Minnesota game on Nov. 12. He spoke highly of the visit in interviews with Huskers Illustrated and Husker Online.
On Nov. 29, Mike Riley, Trent Bray and Keith Williams made an in-home visit with Henderson and his family.
Henderson did eventually flip to another school, but it wasn't Nebraska. He committed to Georgia Tech on Jan. 22.
Henderson posted a 4.37-second 20-yard shuttle, 36-foot kneeling powerball toss and 29.2-inch vertical jump at The Opening Regional in Atlanta in March.
These are the players who built Nebraska football.
