|Offer date||Feb. 17, 2016|
Jamari Peacock received an offer from the Huskers on Feb. 17, 2016.
About two months later, Peacock included the Huskers in his top five with Louisville, Virginia, Florida State and Georgia Southern.
Peacock also said he plans to announce his commitment in December and enroll early at the school he chooses.
Peacock took his first visit to Nebraska on June 24 to participate in the Huskers' Friday Night Lights camp. After watching him work out, The World-Herald's Sam McKewon wrote this:
"Well, he's a big kid — 5-foot-11, 245 pounds — but he carries it well, and he has some nimbleness for a back his size. He'd be the big back Nebraska has been looking for. Peacock is a naturally skilled pass-catcher."
Peacock committed to Virginia on Nov. 7.
Peacock posted a SPARQ score of 105.84 at The Opening Regional in Atlanta in March. That included a 4.98-second 40-yard dash and a 33.9-inch vertical jump. His SPARQ score ranked 14th out of more than 380 participants.
