Maurice Bell received an offer from the Huskers on Feb. 22, 2016.
Bell made his first visit to Lincoln for the Huskers' spring game on April 16. He spent most of that trip with other California recruits like Keyshawn Johnson and Tristan Gebbia, both Husker commits.
Bell posted a SPARQ score of 95.43 at The Opening Regional in Los Angeles in late February. That placed him in the top 70 out of more than 320 participants. That included a 4.73-second 40-yard dash, 4.36-second 20-yard shuttle, 40-foot kneeling powerball toss and 33.2-inch vertical jump.
Bell also visited Colorado and Iowa during the spring.
Both of those schools made Bell's top five, which he released on May 16. It did not include Nebraska. Two days later, he sent a tweet announcing he no longer had that top five and would be open to any and all potential suitors. His initial top five included Iowa, Colorado, Michigan, Arizona and Washington State.
Bell committed to Colorado on June 27.
These are the players who built Nebraska football.
