Jacob Lichtenstein received an offer from the Huskers on April 8, 2016.
A few weeks later, Nebraska showed how interested they are in him. Recruiting staff member Todd McShane tweeted a picture of a stack of letters that were likely headed to Lichtenstein, saying they were looking for a "war daddy" to come join their defensive line.
The interest seemed to be mutual. Lichtenstein once tweeted after having a conversation with John Parrella that "dude gets me fired up."
But on June 16, according to a story by 247Sports, Lichtenstein named seven finalists that did not include the Huskers.
Lichtenstein posted a SPARQ score of 77.97 at The Opening Regional in Miami in March. That included a 4.98-second 40-yard dash, 4.80-second 20-yard shuttle, 37-foot kneeling powerball toss and 29.7-inch vertical jump.
He announced his commitment to USC on Twitter Aug. 16.
These are the players who built Nebraska football.
