Quran Hafiz received an offer from the Huskers on Sept. 24, 2016. Hafiz announced his commitment to Indiana on Dec. 19.

Hafiz had been committed to Iowa State since July 2016, but he backed away from that pledge on Sept. 19. Less than a week later, the Huskers extended him that offer.

He originally planned to get his first look at Nebraska on an official visit for the Purdue game on Oct. 22, but he tweeted that he had to postpone it.

That visit instead came on Nov. 12 for the Huskers' game against Minnesota.

Memorial Stadium impressed Hafiz during his visit. After the game, he tweeted "Nebraska Game Was Live!!! 90,000 Fans Every Game! Best Fans In The Nation." Hafiz also spoke highly of the visit in interviews with Huskers Illustrated, Husker Online and Big Red Report.

On Nov. 27, Nebraska corners coach Brian Stewart made an in-home visit with Hafiz.

Before decommitting from the Cyclones, Hafiz took an official visit to Minnesota for the first game of the season. He also took official visits to Indiana on Oct. 1, Illinois on Nov. 19 and Iowa State on Nov. 26.

Hafiz plans to enroll early at the school of his choice, and will announce his decision on Dec. 19. His four finalists are Indiana, Iowa State, Minnesota and Nebraska.

Hafiz attends the same high school that produced Husker corner Chris Jones, who was his player host during his official visit.

He ran a 4.26-second 20-yard shuttle and had a 30-foot kneeling powerball toss at The Opening Regional in Orlando in February.
