Nick Robinson is a pass-catching tight end from Oklahoma City that Nebraska began targeting late in the cycle.
On Dec. 26, 2016, Robinson released a top seven that included the Huskers. Also making the list were Arizona State, Central Michigan, Houston, Louisville, Memphis and Tennessee.
Robinson was briefly committed to Memphis earlier in his recruitment. He pledged to the Tigers in June but backed away from that pledge on Oct. 27.
On Jan. 12, the first day after the contact period, NU tight ends coach Tavita Thompson visited with Robinson.
Nebraska was expected to host Robinson on an official visit the weekend of Jan. 27, but about a week before that, Robinson announced he was moving up his announcement date from signing day to Jan. 25. Despite naming NU as one of his four finalists, he had never visited the Huskers so wasn't expected to pick them.
Robinson committed to Memphis on Jan. 25.
Robinson had 48 catches for 773 yards and 14 touchdowns as a senior in 2016.
These are the players who built Nebraska football.
