Tommy Bush first received an offer from the Huskers on Feb. 9, 2017.
Bush checked out Nebraska for the first time when he took his official visit for the Wisconsin game on Oct. 7. It was his first official visit, though he has taken numerous unofficial visits to schools like Baylor and Texas.
"When we visit a school, we want to know if their word is as genuine as it sounds from a distance," Bush told The World-Herald. "We have to see how they coach in person, what type of offense they're actually running. And really just seeing if you can see yourself playing at that place when it all comes down to it."
On Dec. 4, Bush tweeted out that Nebraska's new coaching staff under Scott Frost had extended him an offer too, so he remains one of the Huskers' top targets. The next day NU offensive line coach Greg Austin visited Bush. Offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Troy Walters made an in-home visit with Bush on Dec. 11.
But Bush eventually eliminated Nebraska from contention and he signed with Georgia.
