Norris running back Ashton Hausmann announced on June 21, 2019, his commitment to walk on with the Husker football program.
In a message posted to Twitter, Hausmann said he's always hoped to be a Nebraska football player.
"Ever since I was a little kid it has been my dream to walk out of the tunnel at Memorial Stadium wearing scarlet and cream," Hausmann wrote. "Growing up as a kid in Nebraska, being a Husker is all you can dream of."
Hausmann chose to walk on at NU over a Division I scholarship offer from Incarnate Word, an FCS school in San Antonio, Texas.
Hausmann ran for 1,001 yards and 10 touchdowns in eight games during his junior season. That included a single game total of 341 yards. He also had top-10 track times in the state in the 100 meters (10.81 seconds) and 200 meters (21.99).
Very honored and proud to announce that I am committed to the university of Nebraska!!?????? pic.twitter.com/0IAkLmXdn2— Ashton Hausmann (@ashton_hausmann) June 21, 2019
