|Offer date||Aug. 4, 2016|
Daniel Young received an offer from the Huskers on August 4, 2016.
A little more than two weeks later, on August 19, Young put the Huskers in his top four with Boise State, Houston and Minnesota.
Hometown Houston was the first school to offer him back in July 2015. Boise State was his third in February 2016. Minnesota was the first school from a Power Five conference to extend him an offer, doing so on June 11. Nebraska followed Minnesota as his second Power Five offer and 10th overall.
He committed to Houston on Sept. 27 but flipped to Texas under new coach Tom Herman on Dec. 23.
He posted a SPARQ score of 99.09 at The Opening Regional in Houston in April. That included a 4.8-second 40-yard dash, 4.47-second 20-yard shuttle, 40-foot kneeling powerball toss and 34.2-inch vertical jump.
Young ran for more than 850 yards and eight touchdowns as a junior in 2015.
These are the players who built Nebraska football.
