Edna Karr receiver/defensive back Glenn Irons announced his commitment to Nebraska on Twitter on Jan. 25, becoming the third commit of NU's 2014 class from the New Orleans high school.
According to 247Sports.com, Irons was primarily recruited by receivers coach Rich Fisher also held offers from Louisiana-Lafayette, Northwestern State, South Alabama and Western Kentucky.
Irons was scheduled for an official visit to Lincoln on Jan. 24, which seems to have happened since he posted a picture Saturday of himself in a Husker jersey in what appears to be the NU locker room.
Not heavily recruited or ranked, but Irons comes with potential to help at both receiver and in the return game.
He accounted for over 1,000 yards receiving and close to 2,000 all-purpose yards as a senior.
“I think what makes him really good is that he’s not a kid that has any one great quality, but he has a whole facet of really good qualities,” Edna Karr head coach Nathaniel Jones said.

Another familiarity -- a not-so-cryptic Twitter post from a Husker assistant -- seemed to confirm the commitment shortly after Irons' post:
