Keyan Williams, the son of wide receivers coach Keith Williams, transferred to Nebraska from Fresno State in early 2016.
Williams spent two seasons at Fresno State, appearing in five games in 2015. He caught seven passes for 34 yards, with one rushing attempt and one punt return. Williams redshirted in 2014.
Williams graduated from Lusher High School in New Orleans. There he set new school records for total yards and total touchdowns in his career. He caught 22 passes for 397 yards and seven touchdowns as a senior. As a junior, Williams played quarterback and threw for 1,204 yards and 13 touchdowns plus 701 rushing yards and 11 more touchdowns.
