Nebraska added 6-foot-3, 190-pound wide receiver Shawn Hardy to its 2021 class on Friday afternoon.
Hardy is a three-star prospect from Kingsland, Georgia. He’s the No. 106-rated wide receiver in the 247sports composite rankings and the and No. 55 overall player in Georgia.
Hardy held offers from Georgia Tech, Kentucky, LSU and Ohio State, among others. NU only recently offered Hardy, and he jumped on it to become the eighth member of Nebraska’s 2021 class. He’s the first wide receiver to commit to the class.
Nebraska currently has nine receivers on scholarship, but a majority of those are underclassmen. Hardy would join a youthful receiver room with Wan’Dale Robinson, Jamie Nance, Alante Brown, Zavier Betts, among others.
As a junior at Camden County High School last season, Hardy caught 44 passes for 782 yards and 10 touchdowns.
These are the players who built Nebraska football.
