That's the De'Mornay Pierson-El that Husker fans remember.
The senior punt returner had struggled through the first three games of the season, averaging only 2.6 yards per return while dealing with indecisiveness. But he shook the bad mojo with a big return Saturday against Rutgers.
NU trailed 10-7 with less than five minutes remaining in the first half when the defense forced a punt. Pierson-El fielded it at his own 33-yard line and took it 63 yards to set up the Huskers inside the Rutgers 5. Mikale Wilbon scored on the next play to put the Huskers ahead.
