Husker commit Bussey injures leg during playoff game

Nebraska running back commit Kendall Bussey suffered what appeared to be a leg injury during New Orleans Newman's playoff victory Friday night.

Bussey, who created a stir this week after speculation that he had decommitted from Nebraska for Tennessee, ran for 113 yards and three touchdowns in the 56-30 first-round Division III playoff victory over Redemptorist.

The extent of his injury is unknown, as first reported by Nola.com, but Bussey was seen on crutches not putting any weight on his leg.

“We’ll have to see,” Newman coach Nelson Stewart told Nola.com when asked about the specifics of Bussey’s injury.
