Linebacker Shaquil Barrett reached a one-year, $615,000 deal with the Broncos on Monday, according to Rotoworld.
The former Boys Town star has accumulated 87 tackles and seven sacks over his two-year career. Still just 24 years old, he may be in line for more work going forward.
"Barrett has been an effective role player the past two seasons, totaling seven sacks while being an asset against the run," Rotoworld wrote. "He could be in line for a bigger role in 2017."
Barrett appeared in all 16 games for the Broncos last season, finishing with 36 tackles, 1.5 sacks, two pass defenses and one forced fumble.
