Joe Duggan

Position: State and regional reporter

What I do: I work in The World-Herald's Lincoln bureau, where I help cover state government, the Legislature, the state Supreme Court, southeast Nebraska and Lincoln. I write a mix of daily news reports, enterprise stories and the occasional feature.

About me: I grew up in Cherokee, Iowa, and obtained degrees in journalism and history from the University of Iowa in Iowa City. I have been a reporter since 1990, working a variety of hard news beats in Grand Island and Lincoln. My work has taken me across Nebraska, and I have a strong interest in natural resources issues and telling the human stories behind policies, legislation and court decisions. I enjoy hunting, fishing, canoeing and camping in Nebraska and surrounding states. My wife, Renee, and I are the parents of three daugthers.
